Virtual test and validation of ADAS systems is an established procedure to reduce the effort for test drives with real vehicles. Current simulation environments provide virtual sensors for the evaluation of data fusion systems. Typically, ideal sensors with error-free detection characteristics are provided. This is a drawback to the realism of the evaluation, as real sensor data is abundant with errors like measurement noise and missing detections. BASELABS Models inject typical errors of ADAS sensors into the simulation, thus increasing the realism of the virtual test.

BASELABS Models for PreScan

BASELABS Models are available for PreScan by TASS International. PreScan is a physics-based simulation platform that is used in the automotive industry for development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that are based on sensor technologies such as radar, laser/lidar, camera and GPS.

BASELABS Models for CarMaker

BASELABS Models are available for CarMaker. CarMaker is a simulation solution for the virtual test driving of passenger cars and light utility vehicles. CarMaker simulates the interaction of vehicle, driver, tires, road, traffic and environmental conditions with detailed, substitutable system and component models.

BASELABS Models for CarSim

BASELABS Models allow a better simulation of ADAS sensors in CarSim. Exemplary use cases are the virtual validation of systems as well as the generation of input data in the data fusion development process.

Customer-specific BASELABS Models implementations

BASELABS Models can also be adjusted to customer-specific requirements. This may include the integration into a proprietary simulation environment or the individual adaptation of Models for an established simulation environment.
