19.03.2018 - 23.03.2018
DATE18 Conference, Dresden
The DATE18 conference takes place in Dresden from March 19th to March 23th 2018 - bringing together researchers and vendors, specialists in the hardware and software design, test and manufacturing of electronic circuits and systems. The conference focuses on ICs/SoCs as well as on reconfigurable hardware and embedded systems.
Robin Schubert, our CEO and Co-Founder, will give a speech within the session 2.8 "Enabling ICT Innovations for European SMEs" on March 20th at 12:30 about the topic: "Transferring research results to safety-relevant products: case study on automated driving software".
While the transfer from research to market exploitation is already a challenge in itself, additional tasks arise when it comes to products that are used for safety-critical applications. This case study will focus on the example of BASELABS, a software company which focuses on automated driving. The presentation will highlight the path from research via pre-development towards safety-certified software products and the different business models related to each stage. The objective is to provide insights and best practices helping researchers and entrepreneurs with similar challenges.
